The Nilwa Head Office is located in Newcastle,
New South Wales and coordinates national marketing activities, business partnerships and agreements, data warehousing and national conferences for members.

MARTIN O’MARA

Executive Chairman

With more than 26 years’ experience in the wholesale liquor industry, Martin joined NILWA in 2000 and has been instrumental in the development of the Association’s vision, goals and objectives with the Board. This has included launching additional services and programs for members and building relationships between all stakeholders, including preferred suppliers and national accounts. Martin is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Justice of the Peace in NSW, and holds a Bachelor of Business from Newcastle University.

JENNY HUGHES

General Manager

Jenny joined NILWA in 2006 to manage various areas across the organisation. Jenny builds strong, beneficial relationships with business partners, suppliers and other key stakeholders to negotiate the best programs and services for members. Jenny has extensive national association expertise and is the contact person for all important matters in the NILWA business.

Jenny has developed strong relationships with members, sales teams and supplier partners. She has also transformed the association’s business and marketing programs, including the reporting systems, to provide accurate and detailed sales and marketing performance reports for members.


KYLIE MCVEY

National Accounts Coordinator

Having previously worked for Peter Doyle Cellars, Kylie brought her wealth of experience in wholesaling, hospitality and customer service to NILWA in 2010.

Kylie manages all national customer groups, conferences and event coordination, as well as assisting in data warehousing operations. Kylie is the primary contact person for all national account matters and works closely with the customers and the members to foster strong relationships and delivery of exceptional service commitments.

SHANNON RYAN

Financial Controller

With worldwide IT and financial experience, including secretary positions on committees for one of Australia’s largest banks, Shannon joined NILWA in 2010.

Shannon managed the implementation and rollout of Microsoft NAVISION, and in 2011 took on the role of financial controller and company secretary. Shannon is the contact person in the NILWA business for all financial matters and oversees these functions with meticulous attention to detail.

EMMA RABBETT

Data and Marketing

Emma joined NILWA in December 2005 and currently manages two key areas, data-warehousing and marketing projects, for the company. Emma has been a long-serving and dedicated member of the NILWA team for over a decade, and is a key employee with valuable experience in national group administration.

Emma has an extensive knowledge of the company’s data-processing systems, and also manages all aspects of customer channel and product category classifications, including following sales trends in the data. This fits nicely with her marketing role, applying this knowledge to focus on the right products and promotions for members.
